Le groupe musical MIRA est né grâce à un projet «Génie Arts» de Colin Grant, musicien chevronné de cette île. Le groupe s'enracine dans le country-rock à travers ses propres compositions, mais ne se limite pas à ce genre. La voix principale de MIRA est Amy Buckingham, participante à la «Caravane du nord» et finaliste au concours «Cape Breton's Next Big Thing».
